Segrià

Segrià is a region of Lleida with multiple geographical and climatic conditions, mountainous areas alternating with plains. In general, the climate here is continental, with contrasting temperatures, many hours of sunshine and little rainfall. In Segrià, the soil is poor and shallow and the continental climate is extreme, with huge differences between the daytime and night-time temperatures. All this helps the concentration of the aroma, the acidity and the alcohol content of the grapes, turning this area into an ideal vineyard for growing Chardonnay. Varietal: Chardonnay.

Conca de Barberà

Conca de Barberà is a region in the north of the province of Tarragona. While its history of winemaking can be traced back to the 1st century B.C., its tradition is closely linked to the monastery of Poblet. The vineyard is spread across a vale or depression (conca in Catalan), whose soil was eroded by the flow of the river Francolí, leaving it calcareous. This region is part of the larger Ebro depression and is surrounded by mountains (the ranges of Miramar, Gayá, Tallat and the Prades massif), affording it a Mediterranean microclimate but with continental influence which causes the sharp differences in temperature between day and night. This climate is especially good for growing the Pinot Noir variety. Moreover, our vineyards are blessed with a slaty soil, known as “llicorella”, which gives the grape a mineral note. Penedès

Penedès is a region of Catalonia where the soil is rich in phosphorus and poor in potassium, the terrain irregular, the stretch of land between the coast and the mountains of Montserrat dotted with hills and valleys of different rivers. The lower-altitude areas have predominantly sandy soil, whereas the higher reaches have mostly limy and clay soils. All the traditional varieties are grown in the Penedès which brings out their Mediterranean character. Varietal: Xarel·lo.
